I want my mommy!

I've been taking care of other people's children for as long as I can remember. And for just as long, I've constantly had to come up with new ways to distract or appease children when they want nothing but their mommy. I always thought, "How nice will it be when it's my child?"

Well, let me tell you it's the BEST! Though I suspect Sophia has always preferred mommy (at least I like to think so!) she's never minded being passed around or held by people she doesn't know. Lately, however, she's really started to make it known that she wants mommy, and I am happy to oblige!

Don't get me wrong, I don't want a child who is so dependent on me that she's beside herself when I'm away, and I don't think we're headed that way. It is wonderful, though, that this time, when baby wants mommy, all I have to do is pick her up and she's happy.
