When Daddy is away, the girls will play

Dan was out of town this weekend doing some work with his brother. So, Sophia and I did all kinds of fun stuff and had a great girls weekend.

Thursday Night:
Sophia got a really cute backpack for Valentine's Day. Since she's so into her purse lately, I thought I would see if she would wear the backpack around for a while. This picture does NOT portray her feelings about it. She actually wore it for about a half hour, I just didn't think to take a picture until right before bedtime. :)


Friday:
We spent the morning at the zoo and had a ton of fun! She's SO into the animals these days and loves to wave at them all. This picture is of the ride on the way to the zoo. Can you see the excitement?!

Saturday:

Sophia ate from a bowl for the first time. Thank you to the company who made the bowl for the suction cup on the bottom, otherwise Sophia's fruit salad would have been all over the kitchen floor.

First smoothie! Did you know that Jamba Juice now packages and sells smoothie mixes? They happen to make my favorite - Razzamatazz and it was not only a bit cheaper than ordering it at a Jamba Juice, but it tasted amazing! This was Sophia's first drink from a cup that wasn't milk or water and she thoroughly enjoyed it!

We also made a fort...

...and then Sophia destroyed it. :) She had a lot of fun sitting under the blanket, but I think she enjoyed tearing it apart even more!

We had a great weekend, but missed Dan. Sophia spent most of Sunday morning gazing at Dan with adoring eyes - it was really sweet. You could tell she missed her Daddy and was happy to have him home. We both are!
