How Do I Love You?

This is Sophia's FAVORITE book:

And it is SO cute - my favorite is the way that it ends - "I love you as the moon loves each shining star. I love all that you will be and everything you are."

My babe doesn't sit still very well when it's book time. It takes a VERY special book for her to focus and pay attention. When we pull this book out, she sits so still, and looks at the pages very intently. She looks at the pages, first left then right, just like she's reading it herself. It is SO much fun to see that she's learning how books work and how to read. If only we could get her to focus on other books too! When I begin to read a different book she dives and climbs off my lap until she reaches How Do I Love You?.

It's even helped keep her calm once or twice in her bed, so that instead of dancing and chatting herself to sleep, she just fell asleep reading. Cute.
