Easter

On Good Friday, we spent some time with my family. All seven of us were around and it was so fun to have everyone together! The guys (my brothers, my dad and Dan) went to the Twins exhibition game against the Cardinals. My mom, Sophia and I hung out, went to the mall and had ice cream.
Grandpa is busy telling Sophia how silly it is that Mom and Grandma are taking 20 pictures of this adorable moment.
Sophia's first lollipop - Thanks Grandma!!
She's clearly enjoying the sugar rush!
We had a very different Easter this year, compared to years past, and it turned out to be a very nice day. We didn't see our families, and I really missed that and all the traditions that go with a family holiday, but it was a really nice, relaxing day.
We started out at church, followed by lunch with some friends. We planned to go to Granite City for their amazing brunch, but the wait was too long for a hungry toddler and a few hungry adults, so we ended up at Houlihan's. Not quite your traditional Easter lunch but the food was good and it was nice and quiet in the restaurant.
While Sophia napped, Dan got a workout in and then we headed to Lake Calhoun. We walked half-way around and then played at the park. I stayed long enough to see her first time in the swing and then left them to play while I had a quick run around the lake.
So, it wasn't quite what we're used to, but it was such a beautiful day and we enjoyed Sophia's first Easter!
Just before I was about to change S into her jammies I realized that I didn't have a picture of her in just her Easter dress (no sweater). This is Sophia telling me she's tired and DONE taking pictures!
