Halloween, Apple Orchard and More
Monday, November 2, 2009
We went to visit my parents this weekend. It was Sophia's first overnight at Grandma and Grandpa DePuy's house. We picked up my brother John at Bethel and then headed out. On the we stopped at an apple orchard. We'd been wanting to go all season, but we didn't make it time for it to be a very enjoyable stop. It's already too cold to enjoy, but we made a mad dash around the general store and took a few pictures outside.
Finally, a picture of Sophia and I! We don't have a lot of these pictures, it seems I'm mostly behind the camera, because we have a LOT of Dan with her. We also got a decent family picture, something I wish he had more of.
This was mainly what Sophia did the entire drive out. The drive back wasn't quite the same. We had our first really bad car ride - she screamed for about 40 minutes and would not be consoled.
Playing with a toy!!
Okay, so we put it in her hands, but she held on pretty well for almost a minute.
My mom collected a bunch of my old toys, bibs, and a few other things and gave Sophia her own dresser drawer at Grandma's. This is one of my old Cabbage Patch dolls. It was fun to see some of my old treasures!
Happy Halloween! Sophia was a pumpkin. She really only wore her costume for about 30 minutes while visiting my grandma, so I'm glad I only paid $5 for it!

Sorry to hear about the bad car ride. Whenever Malone gets cranky in the car, I turn the radio on to a non station and crank it. The white noise static always works.
Sophia is so cute in her Halloween costume!
