The Box

Our baby sleeps in a box.

That sounds weird to most people, but "the box" has been amazing. This is it:

Okay, so obviously, it's not really a box, but we're not really sure what else to call it. It's really just a wooden baby seat with a fabric insert. All three kids of the family I nannied for slept in this at the beginning and they were nice enough to let us borrow it. You can't buy one - a friend of theirs made it for them, so I'm going to see if I can find someone to replicate it for us, so we can have one for the rest of our kids. :) She sleeps so well all snuggled and cozy in it, and we can still drape a blanket over her bottom half to keep her warm.

Unfortunately, Sophia is getting too tall for the box so we're going to try to transition to the regular bassinet level of the pack'n'play and see how it goes. My goal is to have her in her crib at 2 months, so hopefully this goes well.

Oh, and this entire post was typed with one hand while I hold a very sleepy Sophia- thank goodness for spell check!
